This is a tool that helps you view messages created in MS Outlook.
MSGView can read/extract any information from MSG files created in MS Outlook. You would be able to read the mail messages and all its parts; subject, body, recipients, attachments etc. Even the contact, note, task, appointment, journal, post item files are easily read through with this tool. If MS Outlook is not installed on your machine, you would be able to save the content into other formats. Thus it would be possible to extract all attachments from mail and save with original file. This viewer supports the viewing of Outlook files, EML messages and MHTML documents. HTML, RTF, plain text are formats supported by the viewer. There will be no need in email client around to be able to read these.
This utility is a standalone program and does not need any additional libraries or external tools. The interface is quite intuitive and simple to use. Most users would be able to get started on it fairly quickly. The controls and the layout are well laid out and easily accessible. The main part of the display has a tabbed area and it lets you preview the messages, read the properties and the structure through these tabs. The tool lets you open, view and save attached files by simply clicking on list of the attachments. It is quite flexible in what form you want to use the tool. You may run the viewer separately to view the files, register as default viewer in Explorer of MS Windows or integrate with your applications. Integration is through the command line and your application sets the necessary parameters and send the commands to read the messages/attachments or whatever. This is a good product, has useful features and could be handy in your area of interest.
